What We Do

Sunday lunches (We’ve Saved a Place for You)

Each Sunday after the 11:00 worship service, join us for lunch at a neighborhood restaurant, a time to meet other students, and fun activities.  We’ll meet at 12:00pm in the narthex  of First Presbyterian Church, 221 East Sixth Street (off the Seventh Street entrance).

Service project (TBA). Previously we have joined in service opportunities to help at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Hoosier Soup Kitchen, and Interfaith Winter Shelter. More information about specific projects for this year will be forthcoming.

There’s plenty of opportunities at FPC for individual students and groups to plug into meaningful ministry and outreach to the community including Shalom Community Center, Boys and Girls Club, and the Interfaith Winter Shelter. In the summer, FPC sends groups to Nicaragua and West Virginia to work with local communities for nearly week long trips.

On-line devotional site. Join with other students for on-line devotionals through https://d365.org.

Trips. Join with UKIRK students and those from other campus religious organizations to travel on mission trips.  Previously, we’ve travelled to New Orleans, Jackson, MS, etc.

Ecumenical and Interfaith Community

We are actively involved in building community with other campus and denominational groups and engaging in interreligious programs at IU including Jubilee (UMC), the Lutheran Campus Ministry (ELCA), Trinity Episcopal Church, the Muslim Student Association, and the Hindu Student Association.
